I'm re-reading this (currently ch. 16 where the girl feels underwhelmed by yuuji's acting) and I get why this got to be me so hard the first time: Takara and Yuuji are very similar to Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Not the characters they play in ring but them, themselves, in real life. That one point where kenny said he didn't want them to be in the shadow of one another, how kenny decided to go to Japan after seeing Kota, how he decided to stay there and make his career with him after working with him for the very first time. How he was afraid they would legit kill each other if they were to face each other because they trusted one another way too much and wanted to give their very best to one another. Most of all, when kenny was called the best in the world and he kept saying Ibushi was better than him, there's not a single time where he haven't seen Ibushi as more talented than him, and wished the world to see HIS talent, gotten mad that there is a talent like Ibushi out there and he isn't recognized as kenny thinks he should.
