Hmm, kinda...? Not really...
A mythical creature called a demi-drake takes hold of the body of a male prostitute. Previously to this, the prostitute lived a miserable life, being used and abused in the brothel, but he also took in and raised a boy that started harboring feelings for him.
I think the tragedy would be the boy loosing his guardian and crush and having to see another being in the body of the person he loves. He serves the demi-drake and tries to protect the body in hope of retrieving the original soul that inhabited it. Also, the demi-drake needs to fully assimilate the original soul so he relieves its memories which are downright awful...so that's tragic too :))
It's pretty sad and pathetic how the boy (which is a full grown man now) clings to the memory of his love and wants to bring him back and atone for his sins, because the boy also feels guilty for failing to save him the first time
But still, I wouldn't say it's that tragic :)) most of us here are cheering for the demi-drake to get its way and put everyone in their place :))
Yes, I would say it’s a very upsetting one. Although the art is amazing, and the plot is interesting. It has heavy SA & rape. It’s a rather sad, and at times very hard to read. More often than not it’s lots of SA & not enough plot. Feel free to read it, but I’ve gotten to ch. 30 & will be dropping it.
Hope this helped <3
I mean, if the commentor is looking for something sweet & fluffy & non-triggering, this is definitely not the manhwa bc I got triggered several times reading this and felt sick to my stomach multiple chapters (though I am masochistic so that’s why I keep reading.)
I love tragedy ofc, but I’m just be 100% honest since there are quite graphic, very triggering depictions of SA that triggered me personally
I’m just saying in case OP is asking bc they don’t like tragedy.
The question wasn’t “what’s this story about,” but “Is this a tragedy,” which I guess everyone has different ideas of what constitutes as a tragedy genre. To me personally, this story was a tragedy for the reasons I already mentioned, and so I answered the question.
Anyways, OP should be aware of the strong triggers I mentioned such as SA. To me, any story with horrific and graphic SA counts as tragedy, so to me it is tragedy. Either way, the OP’s question is pretty subjective bc obviously there’s difference tolerance levels.
Before i read this, is it tragic or nah
