About the pearls: it’s known that clams only produce pearls when there’s an irritant inside the pearl, as a defense mechanism. The clam covers the irritant in the Pearl material (forgot what it’s called) so it doesn’t bother the clam.
Anyways, Jooha’s pearls being gone is symbolic of the fact that he’s safe now
