Dio reaction were that Aidan still cling to his past (his son , broken marriage) he stayed by his side whole time when he didn't gain concious waited for him warmly while indeed Aidan was not thinking of Dio while he was in coma talking to his son all time Dio didn't like that he just don't think of me as his current important person so that's why he reacted this way. If u in that situation anyone at any regard would feel that their lover who cling to his past still matters more than his time with you hurts most

This just my opiniom but like I said its his dead son. Its his own flesh and blood i feel like asking your partner to not cling on his dead child is honesty out of my mind.

Its definitely 2 different love emotions between loving your child and loving your partner. I would understand if he has cling to his dead wife because that mean his heart for romantic love is still in the past and not with his current partner.

I feel like asking a parent who lost their child to move on is a very cruel thing to do they have every right to hold on to that feeling of grief imo

Yah right but it was childish jealousy of Dio can't say much on that , forgetting dead child is not possible even till death bed so Dio was kinda jumped up by dead son name even though he knew it was wrong to feel it this way he just conclude that Aidan is still stuck to his past more than him

The reason Dio left the hospital after hearing Aiden call his dead son’s name isn’t exactly because of jealousy. Dio knows how much Aiden loved his late son and how much he meant to him. He also knows you never forget a bond like that(neither should you) because he lost his father and has a little nephew of his own that he loves a lot. When Aiden said his son’s name when waking up instead of Dio’s it made him realise just how much Aiden still held onto the past and not the present. It reminded him that the reason they broke up in the first place was because Aiden couldn’t move forward from his past. Since Aiden’s friend also told Dio that Aiden actually went to make a final decision about them it made Dio afraid that Aiden would permanently break things off with him because of his past. He got afraid of that and ran away because he was hoping that Aiden would realise that he was wrong and not be afraid of being with Dio anymore.
