Of course my point extends to many other manhwas however just bc a story portrays rape does not mean it is normalising it. I've said this already but Jinx normalises rape bc JK suffers ZERO consequences for his actions therefore not showing it as a negative thing/CRIME. Now u may say "but ppl know rape is a crime" which is true but some ppl (urself included) don't realise that what JK is doing is rape bc it's not portrayed as such and therein lies the problem. Also I never said u can't read this or u need to not read this to make urself aware of SA, I'm also reading this story (tho in this case I wouldn't ever consider supporting the author) bc admittedly some parts r entertaining and i like mma. What u "need" to do is understand that what JK is doing is SA and why it is, i.e. read this thru a critical lens and not mindlessly defend it just bc u like it

And I know that reading and interpreting things and having a conversation in them is/can be difficult but I’m also like no offense if you don’t have the patience to do that work, if you don’t really care to, when someone is trying to have a conversation with you then why go out of your way to defend this webtoon and attack people who critique it and/or the things you say? Like yeah in the grand scheme of things this webtoon indeed is not important but the conversations it raises sure are! Y’know. We’re talking about minimizing harm in the relationships between people. I talk a lot because this is something that’s important to me and I want to be clear in what I’m saying. These aren’t things that can’t be (easily) summarized. They’re nuanced. I can be long-winded yes but I need enough words to navigate that nuance.
