First time I've read this I was highschooler and this one left me depressed for quite sometimes. I didn't read any shoujo anymore until I graduated from college. I know this end with an happy ending but not enough to wash years of sadness away. All characters are very well written. The story is PERFECT but painful. Every time the train scene came I remember I was on the edge. Every single time. I am 35 years old now and after re-read this one again... Gosh, this is still physically painful.
