What's the oldest title on your Read List?

Lol so old! I remember watched the anime back then. Even on 2014, it's already had tons of chapters. Why marinating?


I think my longest marinating is one piece. I was sooo stress about the suspense and I just let it marinating until everyone around me giving me unwanted spoilers. I also marinated a lot of shounen/seinen manga & a lot martial arts manhwa

I usually put ongoing on I'm Reading List and Completed on Want To Read. That's because once you put something on Want To Read you don't get notifications only I'm Reading and Already Read gets notifications for updates. I also watched the anime and read the manga but since back then I liked my Ongoing and Completed separated I never moved it from my I'm Reading List even if I already read it.. Nowadays I decided to put those I have read to Already Read even if they're ongoing as long as I've read it. All about my mood lol.
However I don't feel like re reading that yet because after all those years it doesn't seem to be completed yet and tbh I've grown tired of it so it's stuck there marinating.


Wow One Piece is like old old seriously those ones are exhausting NOT saying it's not good but the amount of chapters and waiting just ain't fit for me lol. And yes you get spoiled haha.

Waiting isn't fun. That's why I prefer to read mostly webtoons because the authors are faster when it comes to updates and concluding their stories (less than 3 years or so). Like. I can't wait 10+ years for a story to finish lol. It's just gets dragged..

All in all the "waiting" I said doesn't mean I'm rushing them and want them to never rest and keep updating.. What I mean is sometimes stories need to be ended in a good time frame not (10+years ongoing) some marriages don't even last that long and look at how long these stories take for them to conclude.
One must be a faithful fan to wait that long and unfortunately I'm one of those that will leave it to marinate until I remember it exist.

Nice I've never read those but I'm marinating the first 1 as well. Still don't have a lot of chapters I see.. Unless it's a short or just rarely updates.

I was keeping up with seven deadly sins back in 2016 but I remember that the mangaka took a break for a month for health issues and I lost the habit of checking for updates so when I went to check again it had +20 chapters and I got lazy
I told myself I was going to read once finished but eh random spoilers and glimpses of the crappy anime made me never return to it

I will when it's completed I know the Prequel is complete but the Sequel is ongoing with 3 Volumes so I don't want the cliff. Especially manga(s) since they take longer to update. Thanks for the rec tho Ridora

I feel you! I'm bad and usually read spoilers lol! I do so because I don't wanna invest my time on something that would just give me a crappy feeling. OR. Sometimes I read spoilers to get myself ready of what's to come ie: a good character's death...

Tbh, from my experience, manga is usually much more complex. I m talking about seinen shounen manga. They usually story about much diverse like of course martial arts stuff, but they always includes intrigues and politics. And the overshadows are like, this dude in chaptee 250 first was already mentioned in chapter 20. Stuff like that.

While on the other hand, manhwa which conclude in 3 years or only has 60 chapters, have more simple story. They usually only focus on MC and few supporting characters, and never portrayed any other characters. Some martial arts manhwa that I read are based on novel, usually is also complex. Like having many arcs and secrets etc. I think they are around 400 chapters.

For BL the only thing that I can call complex is Mo Dao Zushi & Heaven's blessing officials. I know people call it ancient. But none of the new story is as complex as this.

But the waiting is so long people usually just get bored and forget. I also read short story with less than 100 chapters.

Yes it's all about the waiting that lost people's interests..but there's always those Masterpieces that you don't mind waiting for for years lol
I love Mo Dao Zu Shi and Heaven Official's Blessing as well. I've also re read To be Or Not to be like a million times because I like the plot so much, I also like You Own My All.
