Have always thought it was gross but didn't realise he hadn't thought those thoughts yet... thought he already had interest but because she was firmly making him a brother and not developed them that they'd fizzled out or something like that...

True... I forgot the other brother had one too. Which ig means he had potential too but I gather that yeah it's familial love with him because that's all Penelope's ever developed with him. I also saw someone mention that the colour of Derrick's gauge changed from orange to yellow... so perhaps the colours are indicating something
