Finally found someone with the same thoughts as I am. I just couldn't like him ever since the first scene where he pinned 704 down and graped him. I literally skipped their whole side story bcuz heck no way, they can never make me Geumsan.

omg that was the reason why i hated him so much. when we got the backstory flashbacks, i didn't even read it because i was so boredddd. after the season ended, i asked the comments if i should go back and reread it and they said i should. yeah, i still dont really like him...

Yeah the author kinda dropped the ball on their initial chapters. I think the rest of their story is written well but it's understandable if you couldn't get into it because Geumsan was written like a dick. I hated him too and while I liked the story, I didn't understand why the author made that decision and portray rape.

Their relationship is really complex and while it doesn't make it okay what Geumsan did, there is a point to it. He treats 704 the way he does with a purpose which is the author's overall statement, imo. Their story is the why of it all. Why are they like this, why did they become like this, will they always have to be like this?

Again, doesn't change the now but I think Yama sums it up nicely later on.
