it's not just the vietnamese and koreans who do it yk, for the same exact belief as well- i've had my head shaved twice when i was young and my hair is indeed thick as a bush, but maybe that's just for me lol idk
In India too. My mom used to cut my hair and make me bald because of this myth
It is interesting to learn that Korean have the same practice as Vietnamese. We, too, believe that if we cut the babies' hair early on, new hair will come out thicker and better. Though i think it is just a myth
