Nah they aren't even couple. Just as the title suggest he is the abandoned dog who is now biting his used to be owner but i think their is some kind of misunderstanding as well which is still to be revealed. And the fl is a married beautiful women who is backed by the emperor and the ml is backed by the emperor' brother so u can understand the political angst. The fl loves her dead husband as well
