he seems legitimately remorseful now but it's like.. idk man it's so hard to forgive him cus he had genuinely no good reason for his actions other than being like 'emotions are weakness'. he lived like 3 years after she died and was fine until his body eventually gave out cause his companion died and then he was like oh I guess she was my mate and even said something like "even now she's bringing me down" idk it's really just an angst read cus I want her to inflict as much pain on him as possible. like I reread the chapter and he gave her the noose because she had the 'audacity' to ask for his love and it was 'childish and irrational' UGH I just made myself mad thinking about it

Man. Read the novel for some backstory on why he acted the way he did and he's just such a loser tbh like there's really no excuse or reasoning for why he acted the way he did. I was hoping he was at least framed for the gift but he basically did it to dare her
