Tbh this whole plot makes me even sadder than usual bc nobody is wrong, everyone just has their own circumstances at the end of the day. I think the friend could have been a bit more delicate in how he expressed it bc just like he didn’t have control over his financial background when growing up the mc didn’t either. Unfortunately it can be tough to work out friendships when both people have way too different backgrounds but you can choose to distance yourself instead of guilt tripping them like this…
