think about it. almost everyone’s paired off with at least 1 kid in a white picket fence cishet marriage with a spouse they don’t love (you know who i’m talking about) where they are shells of their childhood selves. “the main character’s dreams came true” but the system that makes child soldiers and lets orphaned children go completely unattended to and massacred an entire people because they dared to take a stand against against the way they were being treated continues on and on with barely any meaningful changes, all for the status quo. if i think about this and even more for more than 2 seconds it leaves me deeply, deeply sad. less about the fictional universe of naruto specifically, but the cruelty of living in a postcolonial capitalist world in general
