Yeah I feel bad for him too, honestly forgetting your partners birthday is rough. Seems like she didn't help with the house work either and left her mess around the house. As readers we don't exactly know if they ever had any talks about it previously tho so it's hard to say.
I do kinda wish the FL tried working on her living habits, especially considering the arrangement they have now is evenly splitting costs yet the guy is still doing both all the cooking and cleaning
She does seem to have a sort-of epiphany in this new chapter about how much she's been leaving to Asahi and how much she relies on him...so at least she is acknowledging that he does so much for her. That's the first step. Hopefully she grows as a person and steps up to help him!
