Am I the only one who thinks brian is selfish....

he says he does all this for sol but it makes him constantly anxious and angry...

and he doesn't even stop lorkan when he goes too far, it's like he ignores it even though it's obvious why he does this....

he also ignores what sol says and his concern for him and look at what happened...
he died in the end and left sol behind waiting for a very long time to fulfill his dream...

he may have really loved sol but not as much as sol loved him he was willing to do anything for him from the beginning....

I like him but his personality is really different he is too forgiving and sacrificial just bring back the wonderful and cruel ian and kill that disgusting yellow...

and I think even if ian remembered his old self he wouldn't be a different person he would be ian but with a more mature personality

Your right and I really hope, the author doesn't change Ian's personality into Brian's.

Not that I don't like him but I see it the same way.

Unfortunately ian and brian have a lot in common, and the sacrificial part is also included. Do you remember how Ian who just met soleite could sacrifice himself to be captured by derwin's army? but for the bright side...it seems like, while Brian is the hero-type that would sacrifice his loved one for the world, Ian seems to be the opposite, he would sacrifice the world for his loved one. Ian only protects the people he loves. His loyalty to Derwin was only to repay his favor to Cardinal Heron, he also has no attachment to Archaia(unless he becomes brian again). Brian loves both Archaia and Soleite equally. In other hand, Ian has no interest in other things, he only cherishes Soleite and Heron, who saved him. Well i just hope in this life Ian can live longer than Brian.

Brian is a selfless person. While i agree he is not taking time to care for himself i think , like soliete mentioned its coming from his nature and his nurture is what keep him to do so. He tries to do by himself in where he think he is capable and doesnt want to rely on sol bc he think he can do all by himself just like he did in his past. But in the end he died after he accomplished what he wanted to do from the beginning . Since his childhood he wanted to help people and he even got sacrificed bbecause of that behavior didnt aligned w selfish priests . And now he has sol and he want to complete building this world thats why he tries to do all he can inorder to give sol a better world while he lives ( this is just my pov tho ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ )

Yes, now that you mentioned it...

there are some things in common, they both put themselves in danger for the people they care about...

but after watching the whole past part...
I think I like both but I lean towards Ian more maybe because as you said he puts the people he loves first and not the whole world ....

and since they are basically the same person..
if Ian happens to be remembered I hope the writer succeeds in merging them together in a good way that doesn't make anyone feel bad.....

I also hope Lorkan dies I really don't know why I hate him so much, when he appears I get frustrated..

Yes , his personality is like this since childhood..

but from another party's pov , he seems like a selfish person not to the world and people, but to the person he loves.....
even though he knows that if he continues the way he lives he will die early leaving Sol alone behind...

of course he wants Sol to live in the wonderful world they created together, but what's the point of not having him in it, even if it was for a few years...

Sol suffered a lot and definitely blamed himself for not being able to protect him and watch him die like this..

so let's say brian never put sol first especially when it comes to achieving his dream, it's not that I don't like him but because of that sol really suffered a lot..

Watching someone you love almost die so many times to get something they want without backing down, even if you get angry and upset, there is no change and in the end dying this way .... is really frustrating
