Well, ML literally just found out about the kid's existence one year prior because ML hid the kid and he also the one who reached MC first because MC wants absolutely nothing from ML even if the kid's medication cost made him suffers. ML main intention is to get MC's back so of course the deal included them getting together and MC couldn't refuse nor ran away for the sake of the kid. Better agreement with papers wouldn't work because MC is powerless and ML has upper hand in almost anything so even if there's better way for MC, ML can make it invalid with his power

why is the ML getting rewarded for not paying child support??? this makes no sense how is it the MC’s fault for not getting child support when the ML was the one who never helped pay for his son’s medication?? the MC doesn’t have to get together with him just serve him papers and get your well-deserved coin babes. also the way he’s blindly trusting this guy with his kid who he barely knows is crazy, why would you not pull a nancy drew when you over hear a sketchy conversation abt your kid??
