sure thing! so when he gets kidnapped the guys tie him to a tree and hanabi shoos away her minions. she goes on a really long monologue about how mc deserves this and him getting kidnapped was all his fault cause he should’ve never left her yada yada yada…. he breaks free form the ropes cause the kidnappers did a sloppy job. then mc says he’s gonna go back to the campfire to reciprocate yukishiro’s feelings but hanabi starts tweaking and screaming and throwing a tantrum about how he can’t leave her and she shrivels up into a ball. mc decides he can’t leave her alone despite him supposedly having no sympathy anymore but he justifies it by saying “it’s in the middle of the forest” and “she might’ve broken her ankle”. then he carries her on his back all the way back up to school -_-
Her manipulation is at its finest.

Well, personally I think he chose the best of the worst options. If he slaps her, the rumours of him abusing her would be seen as true; if he leaves her there, she could claim he did something and left her, which would implicate him even more; If he stays with her but stays far away from her and/or shouts for help or smth like that, it could be seen more positive. But that would just be me and because this is a manga, he won't do anything calculating.
