The Girl's A Bit Disappointing

I thought she would be funnier, the way she offered herself straight up but she stayed the meek, shy trope that has to be handheld through everything. Atleast it wouldve been good to see her evolving her 'high class woman' persona with shifts in expressions but no, we just have to believe everyone saw her that way despite what we see are her cutesy faces all the time (until a recent chapter where we finally see her as looking colder.) Meh. I like the guy a loooot tho, he's been really patient with her, and he's funny haha. IT just feels a little like a waste of a romance to not have him paired with a girl who can keep up with him, his acting and his teasing better. It's what has led us to this dumb misunderstanding now, because she can't admit her feelings and keeps with holding. oTL Girl come on.

yeah, she's kinda tiring to read about. it would've been fine if the narrative kept pace with her character, but overall the events are happening one after the other and FL's character development is quickly growing stagnant in contrast.

sure there has been plenty of timid and traumatized main leads, but those plots usually never fail to milk every climactic encounter with the abusive villains and for every 1 ounce of suffering, the readers are then treated with a hefty amount of vengeance. with her it's just stacks and stacks upon unsatisfying and bland encounters.

rather than her making choices to push the plot forward, it's just several random people in the story making the choices for her and all she does is limply react.

Off topic, but your criticism reminded of A Villain is a Good match for a tyrant. Just though the fl is what you expect the mc here would be. A timid lady, forced to act like a villain, eventually started gaining confidence and keeping up the act of the ml.

Oh yes, I agree! I kept holding my breath to see her snap back but how is it that, conveniently for her confronting her sister and parents, her supporters are always around to be the 'mean' ones? How are these higher-ranking nobles letting maids talk down to them without it being addressed?

Every damn scene of it, they're going for the throat while MC is just 'O,w,O' In the background wide eyed innocently watching it all happen and 'appreciating her new support' for the 15th time. I wish someone else could take the idea of a count pretending to be a monster for the shits and giggles with the twist of making an MC who becomes equally as passionate to keeping up the ruse.

Oh, I hazily remember reading that one up to it's latest update a while back (the transmigation fever has never left me since 2018, so much read). I'll go back and check it out again, heh!
