I don’t get the mental illness thing

I’m genuinely curious about Cheolho. He has autism since he was a child, does he still have them when he grew up? The symptoms are subtle tho, so I was very intrigued if he still autistic or he grew out of it.

    Autism isn’t a mental illness, it’s a disability. It also doesn’t just go away.

    Autistic traits can be more “intense” in younger ppl (especially toddlers) because it’s harder to communicate when you’re little. His traits are still present just that he’s more in control of his thoughts and behavior but it’s not the same for every autistic adult.

    Sorry for calling it a mental illness, I didn’t know And thank you for explaining it! I mentioned something about growing out of it because I remembered once in TikTok this one woman talked about growing out of her autism when becoming an adult

    It’s okay, a lot of people only know really stereotypical info about autism or are just not as knowledgeable about the subject! An autistic person can grow out of their habits but it’s different for every autistic person (:
