I agree, I think I read pearl boy a while ago because it was popular, but I didn’t really understand why people liked it that much. Same with Jinx. And honestly, it wasn’t anything special.

I finished the first arc and called it quits. I did actually like the story, despite all the rape, abuse, exploitation, and just frustrating characters. But when they finally reunited and I realized they were STILL in for a world of hurt, I noped out of there. Like damn, they went through ENOUGH!
I LOVEEE angst but after the first 10 chapters of pearl boy I don't think I can finish it. I wanna pick it back up again but the never ending grape and exploitation is making me really hesitant to finish it. I've seen spoilers for the ending and I don't know how I feel about this one honestly.
