He never said he liked Joohyuk what are you talking about. And what do you mean, he has pushed Joohyuk away each time Joohyuk has tried to be intimate with him. Eunoh pushing him away and refusing is very in character and is aligned with all previous scenes.
Even if he does like Joohyuk that is irrelevant. Being in love w someone doesn’t mean you automatically consent to sex. If you’re gonna defend Joohyuk at least properly read the manhwa
You said the uke pushing joonghyuk away makes no sense. But it does make sense. Like I said, he’s literally done that the entire manhwa.
Dochan popped into his head because eunoh literally just talked to him? Atp they’re also closer and eunoh atleast sees him as a friend. Dochan wanted eunoh to text him when he was heading home, so it makes sense eunoh would think of him??
In your comment you said
“You told black hair guy you have feelings for someone which is obviously red hair guy SO AUTHUR CUT THE CRAP”
He did not do this so what are you talking about. If he did and I am misremembering pls tell me what chapter he says he likes red hair, thx. If im wrong I will accept that
Chapter 8
My mind is filled of images of us - red hair guy and the uke , and this is while the uke is masturbating - btw this is also after fooling around with black hair guy for the first time. Perfect time to not keeping thinking about the uke and red hair guy together but nope he continues and thinks of the two of them together and finishes his business
btW Chapter 9 MC says to Uke it’s pretty weird the first time meeting and the person confesses the love they have for them <—- just added that there for my enjoyment
Also in chapter 9 the Uke wants something to change because he feels guilty about the relationship he has with red hair guy and doesn’t want to disappoint red guys mom using the new guy to get away from the guy HE REALLY CARES ABOUT. He even tells black hair guy even if I don’t develop feelings for you
Chapter 16 while in the car with rd hair guy red hair guy says you don’t like either of us but the uke stays quiet….. continuing on
In the bed with red hair guy uke says I never hated you…
In uke thoughts he says you just have no idea how scared I am <—- So tell me considering all that how does it make sense that the black hair guy now occupied his mind
Also continuing on with chapter 18 while in bed together red hair guy knows why the uke keeps pushing him away is because of the red hair guy gets found out as gay th e uke will feel responsible for getting him and his mother kicked out of the family
SO AGAIN unless this is a 3P story I am not really believing this scenario of I love red hair guy but I need to get over him so black hair guy please make me love you crap….. not being with red hair guy doesn’t make him any less gay
Also chapter 21 he says to black hair guy I was planning on using you —- SO YES considering he likes red hair guy for real the black hair guy randomly appearing in his head in that moment after a few interactions versus 2 years together with red hair guy and maybe more years ——- from a reality perspective it’s BS
“Pointing out the obvious”? Sometimes I get really scared with what I read here… Why are you blaming the victim and saying that if he wanted to he can fight back just because he’s a man?? Just because he’s a man that doesn’t make him automatically stronger than the other! Yes you can try to fight back in theory, but if you’re reading this story you’d know that’s not the case for Eunho. Just so you know, out of every two people there is always one who is stronger. The red head is really agressive when he wants to and guilt trips Eunho in a way. Don’t forget all Eunho went through with him before (intimidation, blackmail, etc.)! It’s not as simple as a “he can fight back if he doesn’t want this”. I do hope that guy stops (the damage is already done tho), because Eunho doesn’t deserve this.
Okay I'm not sure if you're talking specifically about this scene or previous ones. But I do not like this argument because he HAS fought back before. There's also the fact the earlier parts of their relationship, joohyuk used his position (emotional and financial) to coerce eunoh. So saying he should have fought back there doesn't make sense.
TLDR: youre wrong, and he has fought against him. read what the other person (kari) replied to you
First I think a lot of people do not understand that eunoh is motivated by guilt, and catastrophizes situations, which further increases his guilt. We see this specifically in chapter 27, where he recalls the conversation with joohyuk in chapter 20-21. Eunoh remembers himself as being more inconsiderate ("never said said these words") and joohyuk's reactions were "dramatized by his[eunoh's] guilt".
Eunoh feels responsible for joohyuk's wellbeing (even when it is NOT his fault) is present throughout the story. This also applies to Miss Baek. Since he feels indebted to her. Understanding this is essential when seeing how eunoh interacts with joohhyuk.
In chapter 8 in the shower, eunoh pushed joohyuk off him and fought back. He even made a mark on his face, which is why joohyuk was wearing a band aid. (also I think chapter 8 is a great glimpse at the fact that joohyuk sees himself as a victim in their relationship. It also is nice parallels with this chapter, and shows that he hasn't really changed since then. And no this chapter doesn't 'prove' that eunoh is in love with joohyuk (though you can interpret it that way if you want, I guess) )
If you're talking about ch 16-18 in the car, that is a separate issue. If you think that eunoh should have 'fought back' in that scene in order to minimize it's significance, I strongly disagree.
In chapter 16, he did fight back and began to push joohyuk away/hit him. But he stopped, and the reason WHY he stopped makes sense. When eunoh pushed him away, joohyuk says "...are you trying to leave another scratch?", reminding eunoh of chapter 8. After this eunoh momentarily stops fighting back. Initially during the car scene, eunoh tells joohyuk to stop multiple times.
Do you want him to punch joohyuk in the face? Eunoh doesn’t want to injure joohyuk again.
Because of their history together he does care about him and his wellbeing. He wants joohyuk and miss baek to maintain their position within the baek family. Joohyuk even still has a mark on his face form the last time eunoh defended himself, actively reminding eunoh that he DID physically hurt joohyuk.
Eunoh doesn't want to hurt joohyuk. But he should not have to attack joohyuk to get him stop.
This scene in chapter 31 isn't finished, so we don’t' know what will happen next. But he does push joohyuk off. Joohyuk is also a man, is it really impossible that he's physically stronger than eunoh? Even if eunoh is stronger, there are the elements I mentioned earlier that prevent him from wanting to hurt joohyuk. Even if eunoh doesn't 'fight back' more, that doesn’t mean he has consented.
Okay after this I better understand your perspective. However, I still disagree. I also was pro-3P ending (and have even left comments about this), but after this chapter I do not feel the same. I do not see how Joohyuk can salvage his relationship with Eunoh. He 'apologized' for how he has mistreated eunoh. But once eunoh rejects him, he does the same exact thing and forces himself on eunoh. If the author wanted him to be endgame with eunoh, they should not have done that. They should have just had joohyuk let eunoh leave in peace.
Chapter 8: he had just been with joohyuk in the shower, he has known joohyuk for years. They were best friends and has had a coerced sexual relationship with him for all of college (story isn't clear how long they've been at university). Dochan is essentially a stranger at this point. Eunoh definitely has complicated feelings for joohyuk, but this scene doesn't prove that he has romantic feelings for joohyuk. If you interpret it that way then fine, but sexual and romantic attraction are different thing. It makes sense eunoh isn't thinking of some guy he briefly met two times after such an intense, emotional moment.
Chapter 9 : I don't see how this is relevant? And yes, dochan immediately latching onto eunoh and having strong feelings can definitely be interpreted as strange. Doesn't change the fact he's been a kind, considerate person throughout the manhwa. If you're trying to imply dochan doesn't have serious feelings for eunoh, then fine?? Again, he is still a nice person and has consistently treated eunoh with respect.
Chapter 9: yes, and? I know he said that to dochan. What is your point. Just because eunoh initially didn’t have feelings for him doesn’t mean he’ll never have feelings for him
Chapter 16: yes he stays quiet. You can interpret silence = "I love you joohyuk" if you want. At the very least, it shows that eunoh is still conflicted about his feelings. Again, this is not explicit confirmation he has romantic feelings for joohyuk.
Chapter 18 (this is the bed chapter): yes because not hating someone means you have romantic feelings for them /s. Eunoh is allowed to have complicated feelings for someone he has known for several years, who helped him pursue his career in art, and used to be best friends with. you can interpret this as him having romantic feelings if you want. It’s not enough to convince me
eunoh having a history with joohyuk does not become "pointless" if joohyuk isn't endgame. Their past together is essential to understanding eunoh's character. We also have 31 chapters of these characters interacting. We also dont know the ending yet since this manhwa is not finished
It’s not only about Joohyuk being gay. There’s also the fact eunoh doesn’t want to “betray” ms baek
Chapter 21: this is eunoh essentially repeating the conversation he had with docahn back in chapter 9.
You can interpret eunohs' feelings for joohyuk has romantic if you want. I disagree. I think in the past when they were in highschool he potentially had a crush on joohyuk but wasn't completely aware of his own feelings (very common with queer ppl). However after Joohyuk began sexually assaulting him and became a "son of a bitch", that changed how eunoh felt about him.
I am not saying that dochan is more important to eunoh than joohyuk is. In chapter 30, eunoh has a sweet moment with dochan that reminds him of how lovers act. Then he goes to joohyuk. Then in chapter 31, eunoh thinks of dochan. Why is this not reasonable? Dochan literally told eunoh to tell him when he was leaving. Eunoh remembering that is him being a somewhat considerate person. When he thinks of is dochan saying "I'll be waiting eun-oh." He has also been spending more time with dochan and sees him (at least) as a friend
If anything, it's posisble this chapter (31) is a turning point in eunohs relaitonsip with dochan. We don't know for sure because again, this specific scene isn't even complete yet.
I don't know where you're seeing victim blaming. Please point that out to me because I'm clearly not blaming him. I'm just saying that Eunho obviously has feelings for him despite the blackmail, not saying that's healthy or good for him. I'm just saying that's apparent story.... also, why are we speaking as if this is a real person and not fictional? I'm just stating my opinion. so I'm not understanding why I'm getting paragraphs written to me for something that was so small. But i appreciate ur opinion as well, just defending mine
You know you love the red hair guy you know why you pushed yourself away from red hair guy. You told black hair guy you have feelings for someone which is obviously red hair guy SO AUTHUR CUT THE CRAP
the black hair guy was around for seconds you can’t over write all that history with a little bit of sex fuk outta here. Either make this a 3P story or cut the crap
Going off the story so far no way in hell the uke would turn down red hair guy it’s forcing a narrative that doesn’t make sense
