FL is the villain. Literally. She got so twisted up inside about public opinions regarding the dark clan (where her mom is from) that she started believing her mom was a demon who manipulated her father and that it’s because of her mother’s lineage that the spirit couldn’t dwell inside her. So she started hurting herself in order to scare her mom off. Her mother realized she needed to be away from her in order to stop her from hurting herself. When the spirit still didn’t come, she started praying, hoping it would come to her if she was devout enough. It didn’t. Meanwhile she realized she could manipulate people through dreams and that strengthened her belief that her mom was a demon and that she and her entire family were sinners who needed to be cleansed. When she found the ML, she destroyed him treated him like a beast just so he could one day flee, find her and kill her and her entire family for doing that to him. Her entire family was killed and just when she thought she would die, he kicked her up instead, to live with it. Then she died and was reborn in modern times. The book she read was basically the story of her first life. When she died again in her second life, she returned to her third life thinking it was a book, but it wasn’t. Yet now that she remembers everything, her take away is still that her family is sinful and she loves the ML and wants to be with him. The only reason she’s leaving him now is because she found out that he’d rebuilt the cottage he locked her into in her first life. She hasn’t actually changed. She’s straight trash.
Her mom doesn’t want to meet her only because the FL said she lost her memories (and she did) and the reason why she left in the first place was so FL would stop hurting herself. She’s scared that if they meet again, that would jog FL’s memory and make her hurt herself again.
Oh yah that’s based of the current chapters , I’m giving a what if for the chapters to come , some of the stuff be sus , idk maybe it’s the “author” that trying to make her keep her promise because she was like it’s all good now I don’t need to go or what (also I now all this stuff I just giving a what if)
