i will say that is true and everytime i see another story like that i audibly sigh... i guess it's hard to word but im moreso talking about sexist tropes and growing up as a girl you kinda just get surrounded by female characters that just get pushed around. a lot of times it just hits way too close to home. im sorry im not great at explaining things but it's nice to get a break from seeing that all the time.

plus i do really love seeing queer relationships play out and a there's A LOT more bl than gl. i read both but bl's a lot more accessible with my fav tropes and more complete works

and i def agree with your other points about the sexualization with bl bc it's really is bad. a lot of straight women do read it just for the sex which is unfortunate.
