Up to this point, he's always been against Penelope, so it's not impossible that he would drag Yvonne during Penelope's coming of age party even if he's not under a spell. He might've shown a teeny bit of care previously like gifting her a rare bird and punished the guards that wronged her but his zero trust and animosity against FL for being his fake sister greatly outweighs those things, like a LOT. So I don't feel sorry for him for even a second.
