On the other hand, how was Fiona to know that a world would be built based on her novel? There are plenty of novels in this world, why was Fiona the only one who had to face consequences for writing it?
I'm not a writer officially but I do like planning novels and thinking of several plot points and all (I just procrastinate when it comes to actually writing it) and I have many characters with a tragic backstory and all.
Exactly it’s so unfair for her she does not deserve this, all she did was write on paper or on a computer like thousands of people do for fun
i'm actually relieved that i'm not the only who thought of this i agree that she shouldn't have to bear the entirety of everyone's grudges because she didn't know, but also, i understand her characters' motives because they /did/ suffer and they don't know she didn't mean for them to experience that or that it was maybe the other fiona who did that to them. i really wouldn't fault them for their reactions, especially carl.
If I was one of the characters who suffered greatly, I would hate the author too that's why I hope Fiona is not the creator but just an oracle who just happen to be an author and wrote the profecy that she got as a story
