For me the best option would be the omega giving full custody of the kid in exchange of maintaining the mark and rights to occasional visitation without the alpha presence,
I mean the mark doesn't completely stop them from having other relationships, alpha needs to put his shit together and chose a beta/omega who wouldn't mind him being marked or who couldn't have kids but wants a political marriage
Also with fell visitations they could do it discretely and say to the media the kid was from the alpha and his political partner, this way the omega could still live a normal life and work freely (maybe form a new family to and fulfill his desire for one, and stop relying only on his son to be his emotional support)
