The poor communication plot is dragging but what sucks worse is that the author made the MC so self-centered. All he cares about is how he feels and what his perception of something is. He never digs deeper to expand his perception and lives in his delusions until the ML drags him out. Like if my friend tried to kiss me while I was asleep, cut ties with me when I caught them instead of just being honest and apologizing and then wasn’t there for me when the closest person to me died I don’t think we’d be able to move on. That whole sequence of events was a testament to how selfish the MC is. Like how do you just leave the country without seeing your significant other? UGHHHHHH now I’m yapping. Sorry.
