Tbf ir you read the first chapters (like from the 20 to 60) in the monthly time and not the book edition, it was almost no background too. Sensei has always been slow for that and usually did it for the compilation book (and we used to get translations of both)
I don't know if the compilation books are the same that the monthly issue now cause we don't see them that much. I haven't seen a cover of skip beat since like 2020 I think
