okay actually let’s go back to square one, i’ll take back everything i say if you give me a valid reason you think teruhashi is as annoying you think she is. because all i hear from other teruhashi haters are mean and misogynistic reasons and if you call yourself a feminist, which i won’t discredit, then im sure you have a valid point to hate her
no youre making an assumption based on an opinion i had of a fictional character. i just found it odd how u would equate a woman hater to someone who just finds a character annoying. which i do get people who already hold misogynistic beliefs probably mean harm when they dislike a female character for no reason. i just dont think having a negative opinion on a woman automatically makes it something misogynistic. saiki k being a comedy i just failed to find almost any situations with teruhashi to be funny. i mean if u really want a reason, sure. but i cant help but find annoying tropes annoying. i just thought it was annoying when she would act like she was better than anyone, she puts up this image of herself that isnt actually true to herself. just bc shes pretty she doesnt need to act "perfect' to purposely put that image onto other people. at the end of the day this is just how her character was written and it leaves room for all kinds of situations between her and the other characters. so thats why i said disliking a character is usually not equivalent to actual irl problems. i just think the way she was written was annoying. saiki k also had tons of jokes sexualizing highschoolers, and high school boys often making pervy/rapey jokes all the time. which as a feminist of course i noticed that and was not okay with it. as a comedy show i dont think it shouldve been that deep that i didnt like a character written with a trope i find annoying. also i fail to understand why me reading yaoi has annnything to do with this lol. my username isnt that serious, my bio is a joke, and i can read wtv i want
well typically people who are obsessed with fetishizing gay men are also very misogynistic. you put two and two together and there you go. good for you if you’re not one of those people. you can find her character trope annoying but you also have to realize she is being true to herself in the sense that she wants to be the perfect girl but has narcissistic thoughts and in reality is not perfect on the inside. who the hell is perfect inside and out? her shtick is that she’s far from being the perfect girl she claims to be but still tries hard in the end. it’s not her fault that she’s favourite by god in universe. at the end of the day she is humble and circles back to being a good person because her actions follow being a good person instead of being a narcissistic prideful one. she has extreme self control and awareness but because we can read her thoughts through saiki, it doesn’t always appear that way. sorry i’m just tired of teruhashi haters coming up with excuses to hate her but if you just don’t like her trope in general then ig that’s that and i’m sorry for coming after what you read, read what you want cause fiction is fiction at the end of the day, but does the pfp have to be dramatical murder? i never understood why fans of BL are misogynistic, i feel like a lot of non queer readers are like that. from the people i interact with they are either queer like myself or feminists so i rarely saw misogyny. theres different experiences with different people so i was just a bit confused where u were coming from. also i was replying rudely so i cant blame u for giving the same energy. but anyway i never thought about teruhashi that way. honestly when u asked me to give a reason i started to feel bad bc i had to pick apart her character which i never thought about prior to forming an opinion. i probably shouldn't have called her annoying like that when i just didnt like her trope. i havent rlly looked at anything past face value so in the end im glad to get opinions and insight from someone else
