In terms of not progressing the core plot, Conan has WAY more "filler". Except the filler are crimes/mystery, which are more socially accepted as content
Conan filter was fine when I read at a child but good lord at an adult how many crimes they solve per days lmaooo and why is he still a kid at this point he can just grown back up in a HS kid

I think I stopped somewhere around volume 86 or sth, they were in London and there was romance drama. And at that point I realised I didn't even care about Shinichi/Ran anymore. I thought she deserved better tbh
I thought Shinichi deserve better but Ran also deserve better because the whole relationship at that point was so weird like girl you like 16 maybe move on and date someone else
Yeah fr, it does go both ways! I also realised I was basically only reading to find out when Kaito Kid was gonna show up again, I love those cases the most. But generally the longer, more involved cases are the best imo
