It's worth it, it's not the harem you are thinking of. He's just a bit of a 2 faced bastard who's a bit of a manipulative manwhore. But that's why we love him, it's unique how he plays damsel in distress and saint while being an absolute dick focused on his own survival. Slowly he's focused less on himself and begins to care for those around him though. Also his act isn't just for girls,but everyone although you get a few cunning people just like him in the series.
