so i'll just tell it chronologically so it can be understood better. this is too long so i apologize in advanceTT
Past:
Just like what's said in the introduction,
Igor Volkov controlled a desolate place in the US (Saratov) after he escaped Russia due to the fall of Soviet Union. Him and his brother there targeted Russians that try to imigrate to the US. They would take money, smuggle them, pretend to help them settle down in Saratov, and make them do errands. The same thing happened with Alexei Sorokin's (Alyosha) parents. Their job was to collect money and debts from the immigrants including Valerie Belov's (Lerusha) parents.
However, when Valerie's mother became pregnant with him, the two ladies got closer. Valerie was born and Alexei's mother told his son that he was his brother. The families were close specially the two boys who thought of each other as brothers. And then, Valerie's parents were unable to pay the debt anymore. Igor ordered Alexei's parents to k1ll them but since they can't do it, they try to help them escape instead. However, Igor caught them and have them all k1lled.
Alexei was spared due to help of Yuri's father and was then tasked to take over his parents' job. One day, young Valerie followed him to work and called out to him. Igor was there and once he learned of Valerie, he asked Alexei to prove that he won't become a distraction to him. Fearing that Igor would definitely k1ll Valerie, he did the only thing he can think of which is beat him up. Valerie's image and feelings for Alexei was crushed. He was in coma, and after he wake up, he hated Alexei ever since.
Present:
Valerie told Alexei that he was seeing Rian Vinther. Rian's father was a detective trying to investigate illegal things happening in Saratov but was k1lled by Igor. Thinking that he was just using him to take revenge and that Igor will hurt Valerie if he learns of it, he tried to asked him to find another omega instead. Valerie refused and pushed away omegas that Alexei tried to sent to him. Alexei then met Alto, a doctor who works for Ivan (Igor's son) in creating drugs. He asked for the medicine that can turn an alpha into an omega. Said medicine doesn't completely change once's biology and make pregnancy possible since a uterus can't be created. Alexei kidnapped Valerie who is about to be in rut. They had sex. Valerie was disgusted once he sobered up and asked Alexei to let him go. Then Alexei tries to trap him saying that he may be pregnant. Valerie agreed to stay but asked him that Rian must be safe, to which Alexei also agreed.
They were doing fine for a while. And then Igor ordered Alexei and Yuri to take care of Rian and his relative, Kalish Vinther who is a DEA agent, respectively. This put Alexei in a dilemma. During one of Valerie's performance, Alexei followed Rian, tied him up, and argued with him. At some point, Rian told him things that he should just leave Valerie to him as nothing good would happen with a bad person like him. Alexei thought that it was the truth but he can't let go of Valerie since he promised. He choked Rian but was caught by Valerie. Rian told Valerie that Alexei's parents' k1lled his' and that their family was the reason why Valerie has no one left. This together with what he has seen earlier and the realization of Alexei's lie (being pregnant), Valerie was just so angry with him and begged Alexei to just leave him already. He left with Rian, Alexei tried to followed them but stopped at the crosswalk, seeing the two fade as they went away.
Alexei became aware that Igor was trying to get rid of him and Yuri by having them killed or get caught by the police. In retaliation, he turned himself in. Kalish interrogated him about his crimes and
the murders that Igor has set him up. Alexei told the agent everything he knows and was kept on confinement. However, he was kidnapped by Igor's other underlings. He woke up in a room together with Rian and they argue again. It was interrupted by Ivan who plans to r4pe them. He started with Rian and when he was about to do the same to Alexei, Valerie entered the room and they beat Ivan up. Alexei was hurt when he saw that Valerie was only tending to Rian. When he was about to leave, Valerie asked him why he's not going out with them. Thinking that Valerie asked that just out of morality rather that concern, Alexei told him that this is where he belongs, that he should take care of himself, and that they should never see each other again. Then they left.
Alexei used Ivan to lure out Igor. When he was fighting them, Kalish and thd police arrived. Turns out Yuri told her that Rian was kidnapped, it was not Alexei who killed his brother, and where the mansion was. Alexei has Igor at gun point. Kalish, observing that Alexei is someone who has never k1lled, asked him to turn over Igor instead since he can't do it anyway. Then she shot Igor. Alexei, Yuri, and TMac was let go with Kalish's help. Alexei met up with Alto to turn him back to alpha again and they all fleed the US.
After 2 years:
Alexei is now living in Vancouver together with Yuri and TMac. Yuri confessed at some point and asked Alexei to be with him instead but he rejected saying that he will be only his closest friend.
Valerie, on the other hand, is living in New York with Rian. He has a successful ballet career now through Rian's help. Valerie thinks that at this point, he should just be Rian's lover as a return but he can't. He was depressed and seeking professional help but it is not really working for he can't just forget about Alexei. When he doesn't know who to talk to anymore, he called Kalish. She told Valerie everything including how it was Igor who k1lled the Belov couple not Alexei's parents. Valerie then become guilty and sorry. He desperately wants to see Alexei and beg for his forgiveness but he can't do anything since he don't know where the other man is. His condition gets worse and he tries to off himself.
It was only after ten days Alexei learned of what happened of Valerie through Yuri. He immediately fly to New York and looked for the hospital where he is staying. He saw Rian and followed him to Valerie's room. He eavesdrop on them. Alexei was hurt because of how it seems that the two were just fine, that they are perfect and care for each other unlike him who is just alone. He was hurt that he still thinks of Valerie as the world while the other has probably forgotten about him. When he was about to leave from where he is hiding, Valerie found him. He was so elated to see that it was really Alexei. Alexei continues to leave the place but Valerie, calling out to him using his nickname, begged him not to go. He told him that he loves him.
Alexei told him that he was hurt that he chose Rian over him. He told him that if Valerie wants Alexei to take him, he will never let him go and asked he if he was still willing. Valerie was so happy and said yes. They hold each other's hand no longer chased by anything, but just the two of them.
After this, it's just them getting together. Alexei visited the Russian neighborhood in New York before they move to Saratov. Valerie talks to Rian saying that he it was only Alexei for him. They went to Canada to fix some things. Valerie was still jealous of Yuri especially since he learned they live together. etc.

Can I ask?
Did valerie and rian slept with each other? As well as alexei with yuri?
Or they will just be close friend, but not intimate?
valerie and rian never slept together nor they have feelings romantically it's really just one-sided for rian's part. alexei rejected yuri when he finally confessed and kind of ask to be a substitute to valerie instead so they never did anything. both pairs just live together at some point
