Can someone genuinely explain why this has 9.3 stars? I’m so disturbed and regret reading it so fucking much. I used to think “I can read anything and not be affected cause it’s just fiction!” But I learned my lesson after getting traumatized by this, might sound dramatic but I wish I could erase this from my memory so bad

Because it's a thriller. This guy is the 'antagonist' of course it's made to disturb you. He's not a romantic interest and the heroine is strong and smart. The ending is also ultra satisfying. Try skipping the scenes like i did.

Yea should’ve skipped but didn’t know when to. Like him getting the college student pregnant. It deserves a decent rating for doing its job of disturbing me like it was intended to do but main reason I don’t think it deserves a high rating is actually because of the ending. I feel like he got what he wanted the most: *spoiler* her giving birth to his child and not having to live without her. He should’ve at the very least gotten locked up and suffer from not being able to see her for the rest of his life knowing she’s rebuilding hers with the person she actually loves and he hates.Him escaping suffering and consequences with a quick death is a mercy evil people don’t deserve. criminals are put on suicide watch so justice can be served. I kept reading expecting a “I spit on your grave” type ending for him, that would’ve made me give this a high rating. Hell he had a happier ending than (tmi) my mom who had a slow, painful death. Just my personal opinion

I completely get your point but at the same time i think it's realistic since those are the consequences of the trauma she went through. Plenty of victims get unwillingly attached to their abusers. If anything i admire her strength to know what's best for her, doing her best to escape him. This story was as bitter as real life so I don't blame you for feeling unsatisfied lol
