I agree.. everyone seems to like him but hes just so boring to me. I also don't think he's as attractive as ppl make him out to b but maybe thats just me.

I do like Ruby tho she's a sweetheart but him? Meh.. he's just there.

putting backstory aside (obvi cliche backstory) you cant just water down their relationship to just izek running to help whenever she needs it. a lot of people have problems with boring ml’s like the one from kill the villainess. everyone says hes boring. however when you think abt, its their one person they can trust and go to. someone they can always rely on. people love their relationship because in her world of darkness hes there. like this latest chapter truly shows that and how ruby realizes that. idk just different perspectives. im yapping

What you just say is exactly my problem with him cliché and overused. Their relationship and him especially are like every other manhwa nothing special. I understand why she loves him but to me, he’s just very boring and surprisingly, he’s always there conveniently when she’s getting bullied so that’s why my point still stands he’s really just there to protect and love her now.

for kill the villainess, he was really just there. He couldn’t even protect her half of the time she had to do it herself. Also the fl didn’t even fully trust him, and chose herself over love. So compared to Ruby, she was truly alone she didn’t really even the ml to depend on

Well, to be fair, he's supposed to be the cliché protagonist. Like Ruby said, of course he was gonna win. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
But the thing is that he is what she needs: being always there for her and reminding her that she's loved. That's why we like him. That's pretty much it. Indeed it's not like he's doing anything special. Frankly, it's also because Ruby doesn't have much wishes as she believes they won't come true. They really need to talk things out. So, her finally realizing that he does indeed love her is the true beginning of their relationship.

So you see my point he’s just there to protect and love her. I understand that’s the point, but it’s just so overused and what makes the story kind of boring. I’m tired of the same ml it’s like these authors don’t know how to write any other type of mls

For ambitious MLs, my most favourite one is probably Cheese in the Trap, the ML is in love/obsessed with the FL but he also priorituzes his work and personal goals, and it's quite realistic imho

Ah.. I read it halfway when it was still ongoing.. I think it had some psychological bits too.. Like the one where the stalker counted the lights up the floors? (￣∇￣")
