“Why a student? Make him an adult” “they should’ve waited until he was older”

They literally stopped talking until the omega graduated high school (2 years), even changing courses so they didn’t interact and put a toll on them both. They communicated by letters, not even by phone, and they didn’t even have sex right away, they jerked each other off AFTER the graduation.

I was legit surprised that they avoided the teacher student trope while the student was still a minor. I really liked it.

It's still grooming at the end of the day, there's a power imbalance. I mean, this is only a fictional story with alpha and omegas but high school teacher student relationships should never be romanticized or normalized, it's completely understandable people are upset with this trope. As you said this was handled very well for the trope, but it's still wrong. If author-san really wants to make a teacher x student story they could've at least put them in college and then bam! teacher student trope but legal even if taboo. It's predatory and weird for the story to take place in high school. Of course you can 100% read and enjoy it, you're anonymous and again it's a made up story but it's kinda wrong of you to try to justify these types of relationships if you know what I mean.

P.s. I'm really not tryna to be snarky or mean just wanted to give you the perspective of the people complaining, I personally don't really gaf about it. I just don't read the tropes I don't like, the people complaining should honestly do the same, sensei is literally in the name of the title idk what they expected lol

I mean there is a power imbalance as you said, but the teacher always set his boundaries so I wouldn’t call it grooming, especially if they cut off direct contact till the guy graduated.

But yeah I totally agree with you on the last point, like ppl have the freedom of choice and straight up choose the tropes that they don’t like lmaoo

yes, agreed, it is not a situation of grooming. it's troubling when words are misused and it's important not to overstate things with something so egregious as child grooming. this is an age gap relationship, but the teacher did not actively pursue the student or do anything to intentionally manipulate him or his feelings.

Grooming is when an adult actively manipulates a child into thinking they are in love with the adult in question.
