You don't gotta worry. Admittedly, the story is short and rushed but that particular part was the witch thought she was brainwashing fiance but was having trouble maintaining it due to unstable magic cuz she broke like a witch taboo but the fiance was actually just clear headed in love with her like I guess he felt bad cuz he let his parents down and honestly he thought the witch was going to fail too but he just wanted to be with her and fall into hell with her even if she never liked him back and was wasting her time on revenge she could never properly receive cuz 1st emperor is dead and doing childish things like she starts her revenge pretty quickly she living on borrowed time cuz that taboo so her lifespan was not long left like maybe 3 years Regina ended up revealing the sins of the past emperor and blah blah blah reinstating wizard treaty like she pretty much folded like a house of card when Regina chased her around with a stick and apologized for the 1st emperors crimes and said something like anetta had to make it up to the people who were caught up in her revenge who had nothing to do with the 1st emperor and she can spend her remaining time doing that Aneta ends up willingly paying for her crimes after like a conversation (I don't think she was the most clear headed person I think she was ofc infuriated about the 1st emperor but was mostly guilty about causing the end of and destroying the reputations of her fellow witches or wizards as they were properly called but slandered by the emperor) I think in the end she still has some sort of feelings for first emperor or bitter mixed ones cuz he apologized in his diary and she sobs anyways she dies Hermann kills himself after off screen the emperor dies (maybe natural sickness idk) Regina never really forgives her dad I think he weeps on his deathbed but he still doesn't say what he did wrong but wants her forgiveness she tells him to really think about it and she will answer in the afterlife and she marries Aaron (her brother walks her down the aisle) and hunts bandits in the east has a daughter trisha maybe more idk about the last 5 side stories etc etc
