in the novel, it was going to happen later after that scuffle with the corrupted nobles had some follow-up events. And the way it was done was by making a deal with "Jiha", but due to Jiha's still learning, the deal couldn't be said as without side effect (random), but he accepted it anyway. The method was using a magic scroll bestowed by "Jiha", and the price was his memory of "Jiha"

I forgot... either he visited a sanctuary on a floating island that was Ark's (former) residence when that place got unlocked along with some specimens; or another not-so-cute demigod (the goat) lend him that book.

Jiha gave her the same scroll of luck, but the place, the item, and the unlucky moments were different

she spends some times in Jiha store on almost daily basis y'know to woe him mostly (and having a person who she could talk to normally, without getting too fiery)... but Jiha was unfazed with romance as always.

Wow so they actually remove some parts regarding romance, maybe they are also thinking how readers may react.
But other parts is similar to some adaptations where they need to recreate some scenes to make the stories flow easier and lesser chapters are made.
only the novel reader knew what had changed...
