It is cliche. It was already hinted earlier that he might be one of those but the doctor reconfirmed he's not and will never be. That alone cause 3 chapter of misunderstanding and now he suddenly just became? It is a common twist. When the world said no but you made it because the author said so

honestly, i have not seen this at all, so that’s why i don’t consider it cliche. it being hinted earlier doesn’t make it cliche either. but i do agree on it being just because the author said so
actually, rereading it now i can understand why you say that, but it was honestly still enjoyable and that part didn’t ruin it (so if anyone is planning to read this, do cause it’s actually entertaining)
The plot is going to the cliche to side lol why not just make him human ugh what a bummer
