I’m interpreting it as a state of shock for my own peace of mind. I hope she breaks down and kneels, apologising for not being able to save his mother.
I feel that her mother falling was an accident, but her treating her mother just before that was really bad. I know she's traumatised my the extra attention (consequences of her own action), but at least not his mother who treated her like her daughter
Roger is such a cutie, please let him have some peace. And I know it's not the FL's fault, but her lack of communication is hurting my heart.
