I personally think the outfit choices were quite fitting for the characters as it showed the differences in their personalities. The reason I think she stopped wearing the frills and all was because she was no longer maintaining the image of pink hair.
I kinda agree that the brown hair outfits were pretty boring but it suits her true personality and she was no longer keeping up the charade of being pink hair any longer.
i thought she was perfectly her though ? she has always been a bit listless
Idk.. i felt like she lost some of her personality near the end. I enjoyed reading her more when she had pink hair she felt like a witty lovable idiot using only what she had before she became overpowered. And even with brown hair I wish the author would’ve drawn her in more mermaid dresses or bows and frills as much as they did when she was elenor :(
