And yet you kept reading it, didn't you?
It's fine to criticize dark and disturbing content, but jumping to call everyone reading this a pedophile or sick is ridiculous. Enjoying Psyche Delico's work doesn't mean endorsing the behavior depicted—it's about exploring the complexity of these characters and their relationships, no matter how morally gray. If it's not your thing, fair enough, but labelling readers based on your assumptions says more about you than anyone else.
I also mostly wrote the comment in a fit of rage after reading, aftershock yk? Still how in the ever loving hell do you "enjoy" such pieces of work and still not claim to endorse it, maybe you don't but enjoying the topics itself is already... ugh....
Listen I can't fathom how you could enjoy depictions of rape, pedophilia, grooming, incest for the purpose of "exploring complexity", it sounds like an excuse to be honest.
You can try?? To tell me but this is gonna be a tough hear me out.
Well, thanks for taking the time to hear me out. I’ve always enjoyed—yes, enjoyed—heavy psychological themes that force me to confront emotions I wouldn’t normally face in daily life. When I was younger, I read A Cruel God Reigns, a story that made me immensely uncomfortable while reading, yet it left such a lasting impact that I can still feel a flood of emotions whenever I think about it. Stories like Tourou no Ori or Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (dropping a personal fave) lean more into the sexual aspects of their storytelling, and I completely get why it’s not for everyone. But as much as an excuse as it may sound like, I think those scenes are also integral to the story. They force the reader to confront the darker layers of this already multilayered relationship, doesn’t just ignore it, and in doing so heightens the emotional impact—I mean, look how angry it made you. Anyway, I could go all day if I were to explain why I read this kind of stories, so I’ll stop here. Yes, it’s uncomfortable, but it’s meant to be. It doesn’t shy away from the taboo, and that in itself has value imo.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, as you've described it, I'm basing it as you're using it to confront and feel more intouch with your more grotesque emotions right? The filth of this brings out emotions you want to connect with more?
The stories using these events may shed light on the situations and the reactions interest people, like you. But sometimes the people doing and making the stories arent trying to shed light on it but to fetishize and endorse it, thats why a whole lot of people will judge and percieve you Based on that fact. You're saying it makes you feel for it as some horror makes some people feel for it. Correct? But this is a much heavier topic, and yes a LOT of people dont like it. The value it brings may help some but it hurts a lot of others.
(Im really sleepy typing this so sorry if i repeat something)
THIS IS SO SHIT? WTF? ITS JUST A BUNCH OF INCEST,RAPE, GROOMING, PEDOPHILIA, BOTH OR ALL OF IT TOGETHER. DONT TRY TO JUSTIFY THIS SHIT AND THE COUPLES IN EM, FUCK THEM MFERS,FATHERS,MOTHERS, THE OLD MEN, SICKOS, AND ANYONE WHO ENJOYS THIS. I'm glad the house burned, I wish they all died in it.
