Well the accident is inevitable though because MC is a car racer and he was emotionally unstable while racing and to top it off they argued in the middle of the race while it's raining so bad. Having amnesia though, I think is unnecessary, it will just drag off the conflict not resolve it. Like you, I would probably drop it.
Hmm, I think actually in this one instance the amnesia trope fits really well. In a way they're both too stubborn to talk it out when they clearly both still have feelings for eachother. If Leo gets amnesia and JJ is forces to stay on the team and maybe if it is how I've imagined it in my head where Leo still thinks they're dating bc of the accident , that gives both of them time a diferent emciroment to rethink their decision and rekindle their feelings and fix issues. That's my take at least.
Ofc really I have no idea what will actually happen but this is my educated guess
I was thinking right before this chapter that there will be a crash coming soon
Anyway my prediction is Leo is going to lose his memory and JJ will have to stay with him for that and he will get it back and not tell anyone and so on and so forth
