I mean I do get why they dislike him since he ghosted his gf the moment he moved out and left her alone in despair for years while he was being a playboy. At the same time I feel like their middle school relationship wasn't very stable to begin with since they were pretty young and ml was dealing with his parents' divorce as well as his mum's neglect towards him due to said divorce. So from his point of view I do get why he wants to start anew and leave the past behind, though at the same time it's unfair for mc who missed her beloved boyfriend. I feel like the story's pretty basic with how complex their love starts out but I still like it because of the pretty art and potential redemption arcs hahaha. At the end of the day I totally get both you and those who dislike him. My own opinion about him is somewhere in between, but if this were irl I'd never let my friend date someone like that again

Also ml's personality is kinda meh.. like he has good looks but he doesn't seem the type to make his gf happy ngl I feel like mc's just happy with the bare minimum and because of his looks

I dont see it as really ghosting her, i mean he properly broke up with her and told her he was leaving so technically he doesnt owe it to anyone to keep in contact in hard times. I get it hurts but in the end he did what was befitting the situation and like he said it would just hurt them more to keep in contact. I feel like he'd make a great boyfriend tho haha? Already way better than all the guys ive met myself lolol

Now my whole paragraph is pointless haha because I do agree with you actually The personality part is just my personal preference but he's still far better than lots of guys out there including those you've met. Although I feel like people dislike him for suddenly breaking up with her when everything was going well. And I disagree with those who get mad at him for that because everyone has their reasons ya know? Mc deserved a proper explanation and she finally got that after they reunited so there should be no reason for them to dislike him for that still
