Man... *Long Read*

Authors really love using shitty parents as a plot driver. I feel like this is all I ever read about now a days, and I'm not saying it isn't an effective plot driver. My heart is just tired of all the wrenching it be doing for the kids that don't deserve this mess.

I will tell y'all, in every story I read with children like this I think up a character version of myself and name her Kami and I go to the child and build rapport with them. Then I ask them if they would like to stay me. I tell them I am indeed the Kami-sama that they have been praying to, and deeply apologize for being late to help them.

I let them know that even though I am powerful I can not change people. I can not make their mother love and can not stop their father from being abusive, but they can stay with me and I promise to give them all the love and care I have to supplement them because I would never claim to replace their parents even if they where shitty.

Even in my own little timeline, every child is different and though some come with me immediately, others try to stay with their parents hoping for a miracle while I remain their support line. I do ultimately end up getting them all to come with me though. Lol And when I tell you I smother them with love. Spoil them occasionally. Advocate for them always. I give my all to every child until they are set in their life with a partner, a home, a job, maybe children and they can now support their own happiness.

Then I go to them and tell them it is time for me to leave, because there are other children praying to Kami-sama to help and every single one of those children understand. Big hugs are given as a farewell and thank you, and then I'm off to love another child. This really is the only way sometimes I can take some of these stories~

As if the storyline itself was not enough, your comments made me cry again. Thanks

But WOW... that's a lovely thought you have.
