I was about to post something similar to this. Thank you
The author may or may not be accurate in their portrayal/diagnosis of the the character but ultimately it does not matter. He has an eating disorder that will be "cured" from sexual food play. That's far from realistic. Since when have people started looking for realism in erotica? Move along if it bothers you.
NP :D
To be honest, I don't believe the 'sexual food play' is the initial factor that helps his 'rehab'. But I think I'll leave any speculation regarding any sort of psychological or physiological factors for another day because it wasn't the author's focus, which would mean any evidence given to my speculation would never be proven and.......... I'm just......... so done with explaining lol
Maybe. There's not enough out to know for sure. I was basing my opinion on the intro feast and the summary. I don't think it'll actually cure him. Have you read Ten Count? I think it'll end up being something like that.
I've seen all the arguments and there's good reason to be for or against but even if I fully understood I wouldn't care. This manga isn't a good example for someone seeking enlightenment on mental illness.
Dear The Wonderful Readers of Thank You for the Meal,
This is a Yaoi manhwa in the romance (ok I’ll admit it, and somewhat erotic, but hey it’s not like the super-smutty-ones-with-smut-as-the-only-plot smut) genre.
The main focus of the story is the relationship between the two main characters. The medical condition is used as a supporting device, but what drives the story are the decisions and actions of the characters. This is only a short story and the author does not provide a deep analysis of the psychological or physiological elements.
Those who are seeking an in-depth analysis of anything otherwise (or simply just an in-depth analysis), this Yaoi manhwa is not the correct type of literature for you, and I implore you to seek alternative types of literature. May I suggest medical journals, or better yet, a chunky textbook?
With Love,
A Person Who Loves Wonderful Readers.
PS: should you wish to critique the author's work in any way whatsoever, then you must make appropriate allowances for the possibility of all the events regardless of it's probability, because, as I have mentioned, the author does not, neither was it their goal, to explore in-depth the characters' psychology or physiology.
PS #2: questioning the text in a way that promotes positive discussion is always a good thing. However, should you insist on insulting the author or the work of the author, don't let the door hit you in the nether regions. We could not care less to lose your not-so-wonderful behind, and I'm sure the author would feel the same.
PS #3: if you are one of the Wonderful Readers, do stay and share the lurve~ <3 xoxo
