Ok, first of all, you should know how much hard it is to get a well paid job and if he left a company after just 1 year, he will be questioned every time why he gave such a good job

Do u think finding a new job for him would be more stressful and difficult on the MC than being coerced into s*x by someone with power over him, and severely diminishing his mental health over a job he has been working for one year. Imo, I’m sure finding another job would be a lot easier than whatever tf it will all lead to. Idk what happens later, maybe it all works out and he’s happy. It’s just fiction and I wanted to comment and give my take about it’s funny how authors will make characters do the most nonsensical shit

girl, it's South Korea, getting a job in a well-known company matters more than the lives of people there. No to mention is extremely hard to do so, that's why they will do pretty much anything to keep it

So do they totally airbrush over the fact that he cheated on him?

Help, where did u get this information from?? U can’t just make a statement like this as if it’s a fact, and no, things you’ve probably seen from k-dramas don’t count. I need to remind myself that there are all sorts of people on here and logic doesn’t need to make sense lmao

Agreed! Like they actually like the "let's give the uke a mental breakdown" plot?!

I mean it’s not like I’m judging, read whatever you want right? I definitely do. But you can at least accept that the plot is ludicrous, why try to make fallacious reasonings for it and defend it…? Ik I read some f*cked up stuff, but I’m aware it’s terrible, it just is what it is.

calm your titt*es down, have you never read the news about people getting to the hospital to jist get some IV injection and then be back to work there? OFC I don't mean people there are trading s*x like in this story. So uncultured

Is ur literacy level low perchance..? A big part of what I was talking about was him being forced into s*x, did u not read or just ignore that whole part entirely?? Also, the news you are talking about are about people working at exploitative companies, where the work culture brainwashes their employees into doing inhumane overtime through workplace harassment over the years. The employees are scared to get fired because of years of manipulation, not because they wouldn’t be able to find another job. The MC worked at the company for one year and presumably should have the mental clarity to make a sound decision based on his circumstances. This is all common sense which is why im baffled I have to explain.

When i read the novel i kept thinking about this also, and my conclusion from MC's thoughts was that he was trying to punish himself/ challenge himself by doing something unethical because he got himself in trouble and almost lost his job for being ethical.

There was a scene where MC told ML that he thought those Saturdays were offered to him because ML resented his actions and that he was a whistleblower and wanted to put him in his place in his own twisted way. So if you think about it from that perspective, MC agreed to the deal because he wanted to punish himself.
