Isn't that because the main couple's story already ended before they start the side story?
Yes, and usually side stories take less than 10 chapters, (sometimes more, but each chapter is short). It's rare to have a long side stories like this. And if it's this long, it's better that the side characters should have their own book instead.
Is it just me or these side chapters about Tak and Sanho are taking a lot of chapters than necessary?
I think a side story this long might be better to have it's own book
