Very very interesting storyline taking a convoluted genre like the villainess and spicing things up enough that even the cliches become interesting is exactly what I love to see however I do have some complaints:

- The crown prince is to stupid of a villain for this to work everything he does is so obvious that it doesn’t even feel like a proper battle since I can basically predict everything he’ll do next

- How is she still engaged to the crown Prince the only thing holding them together are threads at this point. Is the emperor and her father really going to make her marry him when she’s already the successor the engagement plot point should’ve been dead and gone after she became successor.

But I suppose even good things have their flaws for such an interesting story these things while annoying aren’t such a big deal that I’d drop it it’ll just make the downfalls more satisfying

Crown prince is only a lech and idiot BUT he’s literally saved by plot armour since he’s the ‘main character’ in the novel, so it kiiiiiinda makes sense. Don’t forget, first prince was a sickly coward who did nothing, so he made crown prince look good, even though he was trash. Either way, it’s not even funny how bad his ideas are,but I think his role now is to push the original plot limits.

They’re still engaged because the king is using it as a tool to cause rivalry between the princes. I doubt she is at risk of marrying him, but the king needs a motivation tool PLUS leverage over rosarias head. Not to mention deterrrent over rosettta who’s only a pretty commoner girl rn

I mean even without her being in love with the first prince I still think the King has no leverage if she’s already been nominated as successor he legitimately has to break up their engagement eventually. He has no control over who the Duke can choose as successor even more so because she’s his only child but whatever ig. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

I guess but he truly is the king and the engagement happened before her succession, so maybe that’s the technicality that he’s abusing. The king probably thinks he can still do whatever until she actually becomes the duke
