    I think it's more so that mangas with more in depth topics doesn't get translated much, bc imo (yrs of browsing cmoa.jp for up and coming mangas), a lot of great mangas like this were first serialised in 2010s and up bc of the rise of lgbtq+ reps in jpn, but it's a very niche market that never really got expanded to the English speaking world

    understandably so. i was talking about the whole "im straight and you're the only exception" trope in a lot of the mainstream BL lol

    Yea if it's mainstream BLs, that's more so to do with the more mainstream Korean webtoon artists...☠ And even with BL mangas, the mainstream mangakas usually came from the major publishing companies sadly not much rep can be shown there bc of the usual patriarchal and often misogynistic ideals they have in place
